On December 22, 2008, the Securities and Exchange Commission ("Commission") filed an action in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division (Case No. 3:08-CV-2248-O) against Defendants James Gurgainers and Star Exploration, Inc., and Relief Defendants Star Georgetown 1 Joint Venture, Star Mineral Royalty 1-A, LP, Star Mineral Royalty 1-B, LP, Star Discovery, LP, Star Hamilton 2 Joint Venture, Lagniappe Oil & Gas Leases, LLC, Star Exploration Leasing, LLC, Discovery Drilling, LLC, Discovery Rigs, LLC, Terra Ferma Operating, LLc, Star Financial International, LLP, and 1 AP.Com, Inc. The Court took exclusive jurisdiction of the assets of Star Exploration, Inc., the Relief Defendants, and all assets that are attributable to funds provided to these entities by investors ("Receivership Assets"). The Court entered an Order Appointing Receiver, which appointed Kelly Crawford as the Receiver for the Receivership Assets and the records relating to the Receivership Assets. The Receiver is authorized by the Court to locate and recover the Receivership Assets. A copy of the Receivership Order may be obtained below under "Documents".

7/7/2011 - JAMES GURGAINERS IS DEAD.  Mr. Gurgainers died in June, 2011 at his apartment in Hawaii.  Cause of death is unknown to Receiver.  Funeral services were held on June 19, 2011 in Louisiana.

Court approves Receiver’s settlement on behalf of investors with Blue Star

NOTICE OF HEARING

The United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division (Honorable Judge Reed O’Connor) will conduct a hearing in the courtroom of Judge O’Connor beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011 to consider the Receiver’s Petition 15 in which the Receiver seeks approval of his settlement with Blue Star Operating Company, et al., approval of the fees and expenses incurred, and authority to distribute the remaining settlement funds to the approved claimants.  The Receiver is mailing each of the approved claimants a copy of the Petition 15 and the Settlement Agreement for the approved claimants to review.  If any approved claimant has an objection to the Petition 15, the approved claimant may present such objection to the Court at the hearing.  A copy of the Court’s Order Setting Hearing may be obtained here.
